FIFA celebrates the 100th anniversary of the first World Cup.

FIFA announced on Wednesday that Spain, Morocco and Portugal will host the 2030 World Cup, with the opening three matches to be played in South America.

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the first World Cup being held in Uruguay in 1930, one of the first matches will be held at the Centenario Stadium in Montevideo, with teams making their home debuts between Argentina and Paraguay. It will also be held at two other venues.

“The FIFA Executive Board has unanimously agreed that both countries should jointly bid to be the sole hosts of the 2030 FIFA World Cup. Morocco, Portugal, Spainsaid FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

“There will be celebrations in South America and the three countries.” (Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay) will each host a match.” he added.
