Game News: Images for the Switch version of Hogwarts Legacy unveiled

Recently, Warner Bros. has released the first images for Hogwarts Legacy on Nintendo handheld systems.

Originally scheduled to launch in July this year, Avalanche Studios pushed back the Switch version by up to 4 months to “polish” the product and ensure players have the best experience possible.

At the recent earnings report of Warner Bros. Discovery, JB Perrette – CEO of streaming and gaming – said the company has extremely high expectations for the Switch version of the game.

“We see this platform having quite a large install base and player base, especially compared to the Harry Potter series, which has attracted a very large global audience.

For a market where Nintendo has a great influence and the Harry Potter brand has a large difference in popularity like Japan, we see that releasing a Switch version will bring many benefits, certainly more than the version for 8th generation consoles.”

In the first 6 months of 2023, Hogwarts Legacy is the best-selling game throughout Europe.

Just 2 weeks since its official launch on PS5, Xbox Series X and PC, the game has sold more than 12 million copies and earned 850 million USD. This also means that this is the game with the biggest “opening” from Warner Bros.

When Hogwarts Legacy Set foot on PS4 and Xbox One last May, the company also said it has earned more than 1 billion USD and sales exceeded 15 million copies.
