Game Release Calendar for November 2023: Must-Play Titles

Main releases

RoboCop: Rogue City

RoboCop: Rogue City

RoboCop: Rogue City is a first-person shooter dedicated to RoboCop, one of the cult heroes of the 80s and 90s. Players will take on the role of a robot cop and go to Old Detroit to challenge criminals of all stripes.

The project does not look advanced in terms of graphics, but, judging by the demo, it impresses with its furious gameplay, cyberpunk atmosphere and numerous references to the film franchise.

The Talos Principle 2

The Talos Principle 2

Released in 2014, The Talos Principle was a puzzle game that blew players’ minds, inviting them to take part in a narrative adventure with a philosophical plot and complex challenges. The game enjoys an “extremely positive” rating on Steam, which is quite worthy for a representative of such a niche genre.

The sequel, which will be released in November 2023, does exactly the same thing, but bigger, richer and even more profound. The developers (by the way, the creators of the Serious Sam series) promise to make you think about the nature of the universe and the purpose of civilization, as well as load players with hardcore tasks. The game is not for everyone, but the target audience will certainly be delighted.

Thirsty Suitors

Thirsty Suitors

  • Genre: narrative adventure at the intersection of many genres
  • Platforms: РС, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo
  • Release date: November 2

Thirsty Suitors is a game with an eye-catching visual style and a crazy mix of genres. Gamers can expect dancing, skateboarding, cooking, turn-based battles and much more that the developers from Outerloop Games (known for the cute game Falcon Age) came up with.

The title seems to be a brighter and bolder version of Life is Strange, promising to introduce gamers to the culture, life and experiences of expressive immigrants living in a small American town. It looks cool and is therefore worth the wait.

Gangs of Sherwood

Gangs of Sherwood

  • Genre: cooperative action in a dystopian setting
  • Platforms: РС, Xbox, PlayStation
  • Release date: November 2

Gangs of Sherwood tells an alternate story about Robin Hood, taking players into a dystopian world where the Sheriff of Nottingham uses the Philosopher’s Stones to enslave England, and a gang of bandits oppose him with their weapons and special abilities.

The game will give you the opportunity to try on the images of Robin Hood, Marian, Brother Took and Little John, and go to rob the rich in various locations. Gangs of Sherwood is designed for co-op, so it is advisable to get a team of partners who will help you in this difficult craft.

The Invincible

The Invincible

  • Genre: “book” adventure from the first person
  • Platforms: РС, Xbox, PlayStation
  • Release date: November 6

Science fiction fans are throwing money at the monitor, because The Invincible is a game based on the novel “Invincible” by Stanislaw Lem. The protagonist is sent on a deadly mission on the planet Regis III: he must find the missing crew members by exploring the hostile environment and following clues.

Apparently, we are waiting for a very beautiful walking simulator – with a minimum of action and an emphasis on storytelling. But the philosophical plot and breathtaking alien landscapes will certainly make you forget about the lack of interesting gameplay. However, it is possible that the developers have prepared some surprises.

Like a Dragon Gaiden

Like a Dragon Gaiden

  • Genre: Japanese action role-playing
  • Platforms: РС, Xbox, PlayStation
  • Release date: November 8

Like a Dragon Gaiden, or Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is a continuation of the Like a Dragon series, also known as the Yakuza series. This is a crime action film dedicated to the showdown of the yakuza: the main role is played by the legendary Kazuma Kiryu, who retired, faking his death and changing his name. However, he will have to return to battle again, as someone is trying to uncover his secret.

Despite the deliberately serious plot, Like a Dragon Gaiden will have extremely frivolous gameplay. The combat system combines RPG action and bitmap, the hero, despite being in the modern world, can use magic techniques, and the list of mini-games offers entertainment for every taste, from karaoke to racing with toy cars.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III

  • Genre: another installment of the popular series of military shooters
  • Platforms: РС, Xbox, PlayStation
  • Release date: 10th of November

The new Call of Duty needs no introduction: one of the main military shooters of our time, combining a single-player campaign, zombie co-op and content-rich multiplayer. For all its shortcomings, the Call of Duty series is one of the few truly high-quality representatives of the genre with consistently high online levels and constant addition of interesting activities.

In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III’s story mode, players will fight the “evil Russians”, the zombie mode will introduce a large open world, and the competitive multiplayer will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the series with a huge number of both familiar to fans of the series and completely new maps. We can only hope that the game will not require you to buy a separate terabyte SSD to accommodate all this variety of content.

The Last Faith

The Last Faith

  • Genre: a very stylish hybrid of soulslike and metroidvania
  • Platforms: РС, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo
  • Release date: 15th of November

The Last Faith combines gothic style, metroidvania world structure and hardcore soulslick gameplay. The result is a game that fans of the Castlevania series, Dark Souls, Blasphemous, Dead Cells and other iconic franchises will surely be waiting for.

The main character will explore a gloomy world full of dangers, using a large arsenal of bladed and firearms, as well as destructive spells. The developers boast of a large number of bloody finishing moves, a non-linear narrative and detailed images. Is it worth the wait? Probably yes.

American Arcadia

American Arcadia

  • Genre: platformer with a plot in the spirit of “The Truman Show”
  • Platforms: RS
  • Release date: November 16

American Arcadia takes place in a world where reality TV shows are incredibly popular and the participants don’t even know they’re being watched. One of these participants, an ordinary office worker, by the will of the show’s producers, finds himself in the midst of a survival game, in the end of which he will die – if he fails to deceive the system.

In this side-scrolling platformer, players must help the protagonist outsmart the system and break free. The game will periodically switch to the second acting character, taking on a first-person view. And the characters will be voiced by actors who played in such titles as Marvel’s Spider-Man, Cyberpunk 2077, Firewatch, Call of the Sea and others.

Super Mario RPG

Super Mario RPG

  • Genre: remake of the cult RPG of the 90s
  • Platforms: Nintendo
  • Release date: November 17

In 1996, the legendary mustachioed plumber Mario became an RPG hero with an isometric view, turn-based tactical combat and great humor. Super Mario RPG has won numerous awards and is considered one of the best games in the series.

In 2023, Nintendo will release a remake that promises improved graphics, updated cutscenes, slightly reworked gameplay, and the preservation of signature jokes. Without a doubt, it will be a hit – Nintendo carefully monitors the quality of its first-party exclusives.
