JPGAMES.DE uncovers the voice actor for Vincent Valentine in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

Over the weekend, Square Enix hosted a Final Fantasy VII Rebirth panel at New York Comic Con. It was a panel where the voice actors talked about the game – moderated by voice actor Matthew Mercer. It didn’t take long for fans to combine.

At the end of the panel, Mercer was introduced as the voice of the still faceless Vincent Valentine to loud cheers. “A year full of dreams culminates in this one. No game has influenced me as much as FF7, and to be a part of it, let alone one of my favorite characters, is an indescribable honor,” commented Mercer on Twitter.

Square Enix shared Video the revelation on social media. The audience is delighted! Matthew Mercer is an experienced speaker and his portfolio is almost endless. A small selection: Levi Ackerman in Attack on Titan, Trafalgar Law in One Piece, Falco in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

By the way, in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, unlike in the original, Vincent will by no means be optional – so you can’t miss him this time. Tetsuya Nomura revealed that Vincent joins Cloud’s group as part of the main story. Nomura also confirmed that Vincent unfortunately will not be playable.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be released on February 29, 2024 for PS5.
