Lords of the Fallen: A Game with 30 Bosses, 3 Distinct Endings, and Numerous Features

Ahead of the launch of the anticipated Soulslike action-RPG, Lords of the Fallendeveloper HexWorks and publisher CI Games have revealed a few key details about the game. Namely, it will feature 30 bosses for players to encounter, 3 unique endings and much more. This follows the debut of the game’s cinematic launch trailer to give players a taste of what’s to come in the dark fantasy title.

HexWorks posted an image online which has since been removed, possibly due to being shared a bit too early, which reveals the amount of content players can expect to find in Lords of the Fallen. Apart from 30 bosses and the 3 unique endings, players can also experiment with 194 weapons and shields, 339 armour pieces, 76 spells and catalysts and 13 player classes (1 of them is secret).

HexWorks also states that Lords of the Fallen spent four years in development with 90 internal developers and a 400+ development work force in a fully remote studio. While the image has since been removed, the internet of course managed to save it:

In other news, the full PlayStation trophy list for Lords of the Fallen reveals a long journey to get the coveted Platinum trophy. Be aware that some descriptions could be considered potential spoilers so proceed with caution. In a previous interview, HexWorks also discussed the game’s similarities to Elden Ring. The developers stated that the groundbreaking success of From Software’s game caught them by surprise, but it didn’t impact the development of Lords of the Fallen.

Lords of the Fallen is technically a Soulslike but it’s trying to do some inventive things with its gameplay. The game previously detailed a cool dual worlds feature that allows players to traverse two realities or planes as mirror dimensions once they acquire a specific item. The more nightmarish realm, Umbral, will feature tougher foes but yield greater rewards so it’s up to the player to take the plunge.
